ASNP Summit

The Association of Storage Networking Professionals is holding its 2nd Annual Summit in conjunction with Storage World Conference. Together with the ASNP, SWC is the Storage Networking Industry's largest conference and trade-show for storage networking end-users.

All ASNP members receive complimentary admission to both the ASNP 2nd Annual Summit and SWC 2005.

Keynote Speaker: Alan NunnsGeneral Manager of Global Technology and Strategy for the ChevronTexaco Information Technology Company (ITC)

Dr. Nunns is the General Manager of Global Technology and Strategy for the ChevronTexaco Information Technology Company (ITC), which serves customers worldwide within ChevronTexaco Oil Company. His group manages technology development and internal marketing, IT research, competency development, strategic sourcing and business planning for ITC.

Dr. Nunns began his career with Chevron in 1982 as a research geophysicist. He was a principal contributor to Chevron's first generation of interactive systems for seismic interpretation and geophysical analysis. He was later team leader for basin analysis, and founding member of Chevron's structural geology research group. In 1993 he moved overseas to Chevron Nigeria Ltd. (CNL). He was involved in the seismic interpretations that led to the discovery of the large Benin River, Dibi and Gbokoda oil fields. He was the earth science advisor for CNL's largest asset area and coordinated CNL's first geosteered horizontal wells. Upon returning to the United States, Mr. Nunns was the headquarters IT manager for Chevron's international upstream operations, before his current assignment.

Dr. Nunns received a B.Sc. with honors in geology from Auckland University, and a Ph.D. in geophysics from Durham University, where he was a Commonwealth Scholar. After graduation, he spent two years as a NATO postdoctoral scholar at Columbia University.
